So I got some good news today. Phew.....taking a deep breath. Thank you all for your supportive comments, I really appreciated reading them this morning. Dr called my hubby and hubby came by school to tell me. I was in a meeting (after school) so he just whispered it to me. Beta today was 7300 so our Dr was fine with those numbers with what he saw (or didn't see yesterday). He said the baby is late but it wasn't uncommon or rare.
I will go in for an u/s next week. I need to touch base with my principal since my Dr is on vacation and is only in the clinic for transfers so it will either be Monday or Wednesday morning. I feel better knowing our numbers are okay and in the meantime I will wait for next week to roll around.
I had three meetings after school today. I was very thankful the last one ended a half hour early. I came home and passed out on the couch for an hour.
Hugs to all of you!! Your support means so much to me. oxo
Kelli - I was so relieved to read this. I'm so happy for you (and your late bloomer)! *hugs*
ReplyDeleteI am so happy that things were ok!!
ReplyDeleteI'm here from ICLW. I just wanted to let you know that my RE couldn't find a heartbeat at our first u/s so I can empathize with how you are feeling. Everything turned out ok for us. I'll be sending prayers and positive thoughts your way.
ReplyDeleteGood news! Hang in there! 6 weeks is very early for an ultrasound...my first one was at 7 weeks and the girl had a really hard time finding the babies.
ReplyDeleteNote to self - do not have a 6 week u/s. I am so glad your hcg numbers are strong! Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteHang in there! We didn't see much at all at 6 weeks - just a slight blur along the edge of the sac where they said they 'thought' this might be it, but weren't sure. Glad your beta came back good!
ReplyDeleteTurtlemama is right! The only reason why I had one was because my beta numbers were so low initially, and then spiked, that they thought it was an ectopic. I'm glad your numbers look good. Hang in there! I've got everything crossed for you.
ReplyDeleteover from ICLW. Yay for a good beta! Hope the u/s next week shows everything developing perfectly!
ReplyDeleteSending best wishes for more and more good news to come!

ReplyDeleteOh yay!
ReplyDeleteFanatastic news! :-)
i'm so relieved!! yay for rising beta numbers!!! i guess it was just too early to look on ultrasound or maybe the angle was bad? did the doctor do a vaginal or tummy ultrasound? i had to wait until the middle of my 7th week for my first ultrasound and even then the baby was very small. i'll be thinking of you!
ReplyDeleteStopped by from iclw. So happy you got good news! Sending you hugs and good wishes :-)
ReplyDeleteHoping and praying you continue to get good news and get to see your baby on ultrasound soon.
